I was really disappointed with this show. Between parking and admission, I paid more to enjoy this show than Nashville. There were only 214 cars on display, and the lighting was horrible for photos. The show didn't open until noon on Saturday, but apparently they had let some people in before that. Just before noon they ran people out of there, which angered most of the vendors. I won't be going back.

I'm not sure. It was a very nice car, but nothing that made it stand out to me more than any other '71 Mach. I guess he just asked nicely!

I think I know the guy with the Mach 1. Was it yellow? Concours class? And was the glovebox photo and the license plate photo from the same car?

Nice pics, Brad. I really like the page of all the classic wheels.

Yea, that's him. He and Charles Turner called me Saturday. Guess they were bored.

Sorry to hear the show sucked. Tell me what you mean by admission? I didn't think MCA ever charged the public to view the cars. I hope you guys in B'ghm can help us pull off a success story next May.

I had to pay $3 to park and $4 per person to enter. The only food available was at a concession stand. If you didn't want to eat there you had to leave and come back and PAY ADMISSION AGAIN! Luckily the parking pass was valid all day.

I emailed Chip Hill and voiced my opinions. He said that clubs were strongly discouraged from charging spectator admission and that it won't be allowed in 2005 and beyond.

That's pisspoor that they charged admission and wouldn't allow re-entry. I can't believe MCA even awarded that show.

The May 2005 show is going to completely kick ****. The hotel is awesome with a restaurant, bar, pools, etc. And within walking distance, the US Space & Rocket Center is really putting on a show. We get admission to the museum all weekend, and Saturday night, they're reopening JUST FOR US! We'll have a party with food, IMAX movies, simulators, rides, and hopefully a live band.

I just hope we get enough member help and sponsors to pull this off. I'll prolly be visiting your local club meeting soon to enlist help. When do you all meet?

Every second Thursday at 6:45 at Town & Country Ford. There are directions on our web site. I'm excited about your show. I'm originally from Huntsville and my mom still lives in Madison. I worked at the Space Center for two years.

Any chance we can get Bullitt on the IMAX? How cool would that be?!

I believe the IMAX movies are specially shot, and you can't properly display any old movie on the screen. That said, they are looking into the possibility of keeping the NASCAR IMAX movie they currently have.

Ever watched the whole Bullitt movie? It's a lousy movie.

Yeah, I know about shooting IMAX movies. And Bullitt was a lousy movie, but it'd be cool to hear that exhaust note on the IMAX sound system.

I was thinking of going to this show. According to what has been said on this thread I'm glad I didn't go. :notnice:

Mberglo, is everything you have posted about the US Space & Rocket Center set in stone? If so I know I will be there and probably bring a few more from CVMC with me.

Yes, its all true...cuz I read it on the Internet

The Space Center Mustang show is going to be most excellent - The Center is really going above and beyond to make it a great experience. Unfortunately, Mberglo will be around a lot, but you'll just have to work around that :P

Mberglo, you should have trophies made that look like rockets, then have a decal made with the show's logo that you can stick on 'em. That'd be cool and different, and you'd always remember where you got that trophy.

I should receive a draft contract today. So far so good. Plan on coming, and bring a whole caravan with you. Cars will be limited to 350 so act fast when preregistration shows up.

Funny you should say that. That's all I'll say at this point.

Let us at Magic City Mustangs know what we can do to help. I go to Huntsville from time to time and would be happy to do anything I can to help out.
