Water Leaking Inside Car...Emergency!
It rained hard two days ago with strong winds. I was driving to the gym yesterday and while I was making turns I heard a noise. I didn't think much of it. Then I kept hearing the noise with each turn and when I accelerated from a complete stop. I looked over to my passenger side floor board and saw water everywhere. With each acceleration and turn water was dripping from underneath the passenger side dash behind the glove box. So the question is: did the rain cause this by somehow getting in between my hood and the windshield or is this cause by something else. All together I would say it was close to a gallon of water leaked into my car. Keep in mind I've had my car for over three years and it has been exposed to the rain and weather but nothing like this has ever happened. Thanks in advance!

Do a search for "water leak" - it's a known problem that for which Ford has issued a TSB.

I did find a TSB issued by Ford. I never knew what a TSB was. So if I take it in to Ford to have it fixed will I have to pay for all the costs? It's not like a recall?

That is a good question. Not a recall for a specific number of cars from one date to another, however FORD will be aware of the problem and your car is affected.

After intensive research on three different mustang forums as well as other forums I think I have found the problem and solution. I will attempt to fix tomorrow. That's why I love mustang forums.

Check the drain below where the cabin air filter is located.
There is a small rubber gromet that gets plugged and lets water come in thru cabin air intake. |

Good luck. Check the grommet under the cabin air filter. You may always want to take it into the dealer to have the SJB/electronics replaced/diagnosed.
