Went and ordered my 06 GT last week and looking at my VOC my order number is 0001. I know i cant be the first order he said there are 12 orders in front of mine. Whats going on?

The order number is something that is specific to the dealer so they can "arrange" them any way they want. It's simply a number to keep track of the car. Check your priority number. That's what's important... in relation to the other Mustangs he will be ordering.

My priority is 10 (believe it or not) Called ERL today and nothing as of yet. So im thinking he hasnt ordered it yet. But i heard ford pulls orders on thursday so maybe ill call ERL tomorrow. And on that note maybe i did it wrong but ERL asked for 5 digit dealer code and my dealer code is 6 digits F27030.

If your priority number is 10, there aren't any other Mustangs in front of you at that dealer. That would explain your order number being the first one. Hhmm. A salesman that doesn't know what he's talking about... Go figure.
It is extremely important that you get your DORA and check all that info, incuding the priority number and the order number.

Just a guess based on what I saw on my own VOCs. The dealer hasn't faxed me my DORA yet but I figure I'll call ERL tomorrow just to be sure the order got placed.

NO, NO , NO, NO! These numbers mean nothing! Please do not get caught in this trap! I had a DORA and a priority of 12 and sat c/u for 4+ months before I found out that my car would not be built. NO ALLOCATION!
If I knew how to "cut and paste" my comments from countless other threads, I would.
Bottom line is, if your dealer does not have allocation, you will be posting to this thread or another like it this time next year. ASK ABOUT ALLOCATIONS!
After 4 months of c/u, I called a dealer in Florida, which I have documented well here and on other threads and sites, and got serialzed in one day, and had my GT vert in my garage in 6 weeks.
I am so tired of trying to warn people of how unscrupulous dealers can be.
I'm done.
Everyone should be careful and ask a lot of questions. If you don't get straight answers, and you really want a Mustang, look for another dealer. If you are really looking for results, calll Carlos at Gary Yeomans Ford in Daytona Beach.
Now I'm done.

I was a priority of 10 on my first VOC... but they had some options wrong which we got corrected, but when I got my revised VOC my order was priority 22... still not bad but not a 10. My order is 0004 on the revised VOC, but was 0000 on the original. My guess is that the original VOC wasn't actually submitted but was just printed off the computer, while the second one was submitted. I got the original at the dealership like 15 minutes before they closed. My guess is your VOC was printed before your actual order had a priority/order number assigned.

Evil Robot Lady
It's just something someone came up with back when so many people were waiting for their '05's. When you call "the number we can't mention" to check the status of your car, there's an automated recording of a woman's voice that tells you want to do. It's very robotic sounding and VERY annoying to hear over and over and over and over every time you call.

Also my order no. on my VOC was also 0001. But when I received my DORA the number had changed. Using the # 0001 the ERL said there was nothing that matched up with the information I gave them. But once I found my real number on the DORA, everything worked and I found out today that my car was serialized on 8/4/05. =) good luck
