Just make sure if you were quoted the $250.00 upgrade for the 18 in wheels, that is what they charge you. They charged me the $718.00 and I was like here is the email with the quote, so they fixed it. Hey I know it is only $500.00, but that could be spent else where for mods.. PS I have an ETA of this weekend.. :w00t:

Thanks for the heads up. I did order through military sales and they did quote me 250.00 for the fanblades.. I figure if I don't like the fanblades I can always sell them and get the 64W option for cheap and still be ahead. $500 is still money in your pocket. That will be a large chunk towards new BFGs. I haven't received my final paperwork yet but I'm locked into the car and price at this point.

So far I'm pretty happy with military sales as they are cheaper than buying off of a civilian lot. I do get the impression my salesman isn't always rowing with both paddles though.

Did they end up guaranteeing your delivery date as well in writing?

Hope you enjoy your new car, I just have to get back to the states to get mine in Nov.

Also - If ENCS misses their promised date of delivery, you can request $150 (up to $750) for every week they miss that date.

I also had to tell the dealer about rebates, that he missed, but I caught.

Hmmm, my Milqoute ended up at $25,550 for a 2006 Torch Red Premium and getting charged $760 for the 64Es. No $500 military discount and $0 in rebates. After all the goodies (except Shaker 1000) totaled out at $31,180. Including 7/75,000 and shipping to Germany. Ordered 19 Jul and all they can tell me right now is CONUS port date of 10 Oct and delivery in Dec. Concur with the rows in the water...Gotta love the Brits, but some of them don't know much about the American cars or the way American dealerships work. At times that's actually better.

Wardog,

Thanks for the PM on the mods. Hope it's O.K., but I'm sure I'll be getting back with you the closer I get to Dec.

Ammo Dude,

Are you in Europe?

ENCS was using an old price list. They just got the August price list with the increased prices. Not good news.

You protected from the price increases if you had a quote before the new list came out. They will go down on a price but not up.

Yep, prices changed around a bit. In July Milqoute was $25,539 plus $802 for Model Year 2006 Estimated Uplift (their or Fords guess at 2006 price). August Milquote is $25,550 with no Uplift and most of the options went down in price as well. Still bugs me having to pay $1600 (to Germany) + the $695 (which everyone pays) for shipping it here. Costs about $800 for a commercial company from the US to Germany. Oh well, the price we pay for our toys!!!!

That's true Gatorbait...Except I just kept adding options...Couldn't help myself. By the way, how did you get all your dates? Thought we needed a dealer # for the 800 number and Mil Car Sales doesn't have a dealer #. Just what I heard anyways.

Oops, correction to my Math. $1468 for shipping (not $1600) plus $695.

When I ordered in April the 64E wheels were only 250...However I did have a $786 price adjustment. Hmmmmm....I wonder if it is cheaper now than it was when I ordered months ago. Also, I was built on 8/8, but dont have a delivery date until October 24 back in Texas... where will my car be for 2 months?

no a bad price considering the dealers around here are still charging $3k mark-up for a GT. When I bought my wife's '05 explorer there was a white GT just like I ordered except It was an auto. He asked me what it would take to get me in that car? I said if you beat the deal I got on my '06 by $100.00. He said $100 I said yes. He got a big shirt eating grin and said ok. He came back with a price of $30,000. I said even he said yes. I said sorry not even close. We went to his computer and went to the web site and he almost had a cow. Sorry so long. but I had to tell it.

A friend of mine has a daughter in Iraq that ordered a Ford through military sales. It is due to be picked up in North Carolina now but, she just got a 3 month extension in Iraq. Her Dad claims if he doesn't drive out there & get it for her (we live in Illinois) the dealer won't be responsible for any damages to the car left on their lot! Is there any provision in the contract for this?

they should be able to do something. I know there is a clause about orders (sudden change like the extension). Maybe she can change the dealership to one closer to her dad and make sure he can pick it up. Is it already there? or still on order. I originally had a delivery date for Oct 31, but I got a set of orders that brought me home sooner and they told me it would stay at the ford plant until then unless I wanted to change the date to an earlier time. Maybe they can push her's back. Tell your friend I thank his daughter for defending our freedom, and may she stay safe. :flag2:

Alex,

The rebate was just a quick thing that I caught on the ENCS website and then it expired a week later. I think it was just a one month thing as an incentive to get the Conv's moving in the beginning.
