Like All the other comments, 78mm is pretty big unless your car has a power adder. A tuner is pretty much a must...it will waken the car up pretty good with the supporting mods you have.

im planning on getting that 78mm. these 2v have no top end... we all know that. thats why i want it. i was thinking cams down the road too. but it all depends how you want to drive your pony.

78mm is a bit big for a mostly stock 4.6L. I've seen some test data and it really does not make much sense to go much bigger than 70mm. Now if you had ported heads, and a big set of cams, you would be able to take advantage of such a large TB. Also, like others have said, F/I would also benefit from a large TB as well.
