I just got my car back on the road, and low and behold the rear shaft seal is leaking like a siv.

it needs to be chaged but just need an opinion or two.. how hard is it to do with the trans in the car?

Do i need to remove the output shaft housing to gfet to it?

thanks

This would be the seal on the back of a manual tranny? (4speed?)

You should be able to drop the drive shaft and replace it without having to drop the tranny.

If it is a C4 auto, you can remove the extension housing withn the transmission in the car.
