1 to 2 bbl setup on 200 I6

I did this after my 200 broke the 2nd carb we put on it.

I bought the 1 to 2bbl adapter from stovebolt and also bought the Holley/ Weber 2bbl from stovebolt.
The adapter is cheap and the holes didn't line up correctly, so I would recommend getting the clifford performance adapter. The 2bbl is a progressive carb that was made for a 4cyl. The jet sizes range, but there are specs for a 6cyl if using it. Ask the guy from stovebolt about buying jets. The carbs are rebuilt, but you can buy a new one for 20 dollars more, you just have to ask about them. Also buy the electric choke for an extra $15, much better than the water choke that comes on it.

You have to modify the linkage on the carb for some mustangs. My grandfather put it on his and it worked fine with his linkage. I completely took the linkage off of my 67 mustang and modified it to a galvanized cable. Hooked the return spring up and it worked. If you get the clifford adapter you should have room for an air cleaner my 67 doesn't because I still have the carb spacer on it.

The clifford adapter has a spot for the PCV valve unlike the stovebolt one. The clifford adapter is also smaller in height.

I've had it on since last July and I'm just now getting it tuned. I have had my timing set high and the mustang kept breaking down, so I could never tune it. Now I have my timing set and working on the fuel mixture.
