This here is my second Stang, an '06 GT Premium convertible. I've had the car for about 5 months now, and I love this car. I am about to do a few appearance mods to the car, and needed to get some decent "before" shots of the car. Here they are, tell me what you think. (yeah, a little bit of pic wh0rin', but that's what we all do!)

I have been forced to start driving my 2005 GT in the winter this year :( so I need some rims and tires for the cold. I found someone who had a 1998 Cobra that had winter rims and tires. I know the bolt pattern is the same, but the spacing is probably different. Will this cause problems?...or just look odd? I can handle looking odd for the winter months as the deal is hard to pass up, but I obviously don't want any problems.

Sorry if this problem has been posted before... I'm borrowing someone's computer while mine is dead (parts on order...grrr) and don't have a whole lot of time to browse. Go easy on me, mmkay? ;)

So today, as I pulled into my driveway, my 07 GT just...died. Engine shut off, but all electrical components appeared to be working. I was able to shift into park easily, and even eject a CD from the changer. Attempting to crank the car did nothing (not even a click).

My first thought was I hit the ramp into the driveway too hard (I didn't think I hit hard at all...but meh) and triggered the fuel shut off, so I hit the fuel reset switch and attempted to start back up. Still nothing...not a sound!

I'm dumbfounded at what the problem could be. Any hints?

I'll hopefully be able to check this from work briefly. Thank goodness for having a winter beater!

We just recieved a shipment of products from an overstocked warehouse. The Radiators will be a one time deal only while supplies last. We have a pallet of NEW Manual Transmission 2005 to 2010 Mustang GT Fluidyne direct fit radiators. These are the same radiators used in such vehicles as the Saleen S281 Extreme Mustang. They are 100% brazed aluminum, high efficiency fins, and a direct fit. Remember these are for manual cars only, they do not fit auto cars. The part number is FHP20-05MU and companies such as Steeda retail them for $600+. The cheapest we could find online is about $520 plus shipping. These are going to go for $425 shipped to the 48 states, while supplies last. Phone orders only 574.594.9559. We are hoping to locate more pallets of overstock so we can pass on some KILLER deals.

So I went to my Ford dealer today and had them make me a key to unlock the door or trunk, no chip in it, and hid it on the exterior of the car.

The old stand by of a coat hanger didn`t work. I could get to the door handle but couldn`t get it to pull back far enough !

Be warned it could happen to you :-D

I read somewhere in here that a test for a bad clutch is to get the car up to 20MPH, stick it in 4th, then floor it. If the engine takes off or the car shudders, the clutch is gone, baby, gone. If the engine just lugs and is steady in trying to accelerate, then the clutch is not bad... yet.

I did that test, and sure enough, Awesome acts like she doesn't have a clutch problem. Yay.

So... now I'm confused.

See, I thought she had a slipping clutch, but it just doesn't let go like it should with that test. At all. However, on acceleration and cruising up a hill (say, even a bridge on a freeway over an intersection) it seems like there's a little... throttle blipping going on. Maybe even a miss? I dunno, something. It felt like the clutch slipping, just ever so slightly. I don't know how to describe it. Maybe a little hesitation, maybe a slight miss, but... something.

The following information is probably needed:
Newish Air Filter (I think... yeah, pretty sure... I may need to double check that, but go with 'yes' for now.)
Throttle Body Cleaned (removed, cleaned, reinstalled.)
When that was done, reset the computer, and reset the throttle. That was a while back.
I've reset the throttle today as well.
Running 93 Octane.
Various forms of acceleration, but not by default 'dogging it'. I do run her up now and then, but the grand majority, normal take offs and driving.
Tires are good, no pressure problems there.
CVs/Universal joints and all that seem to be lashed up pretty good... no real slack, everything looks and feels normal.
56000+ miles on her
Oil is changed, and other maintenance items are performed, on schedule. Next up is 60,000, by the book, unless something comes up, of course.

I am the second owner, so I don't know what happened in her first 20,000 miles of service. Seems like some lady owned her down in Brownsville/Harlingen , previously, but that's all I know.

I am open to any and all thoughts and ideas. Anything. She's just not acting right, it feels like to me.

In every other way, she's great. No issues. Just this little semi-hesitation I can feel in her stride.

/maybe I'm too sensitive.

It seems to me, at least in my part of the US (Phoenix, AZ), that the prices on used Mustangs are pretty high. For example... 2008 GT base. The only thing I wish it had were gears.
http://usedroberthorneford.netlook.c...a-a800051.html

Original sticker on the car was $27,905. I can't seem to figure out when it was built. Maybe the PDF stickers don't show that info? So really, this car could physically be 3 years old. Low mileage though.
http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webvie...HT82H485169929
Of course I have no way of knowing what the original owner paid, how many owners the car has had, etc, but only 20% depreciation over 3 model years? I would expect it to be "worth" (being subjective, of course) around $16-17k. Am I being unreasonable, keeping regional fluctuations out of the equation?
IOW, how hard would me ass be kicked if I offered that to the dealer?
j/k..... no, really, how hard?

That's only one example, but it seems to be the norm. If I can walk in and buy a leftover '10 GT for 24-25k, these used ones should be cheap.

A couple weeks ago i developed a knocking clunk in the front of the car. I assumed it was a failed strut mount and purchased a set of FordRacing replacement units and since I was doing that, figured it was a good idea to replace the struts/shocks. Bought a set of Koni STR.t or whatever there called from Stage3. Got everything the following week and installed it that night.

Unfortunately my clunk was still present. After checking over all of my bolts I was stumped. I read a few threads on here that referenced loose Endlink bolts but everyone always referenced the bolt connecting to the strut. Not the bolt connecting the sway bar to the endlink. Which happend to be the one bolt I didn't check or touch during the install.

So 6 hours of my time and $475 later, tightening 2 endlink bolts down (which were not loose to the touch but were to a wrench) solved my clunk issue.

Lesson learned, check ALL the bolts.
