1966 Mustang 289 2 barrel carburator in excelent condition with only 46,000 miles. This car has been in storage since 1981 and runs perfect as engine is very stong. Enterior has no tears and is also in show room condition and the only problem is the material on enterior roof needs to be replaced.

I have just put four new tires on and replaced the radiator along with the thermostat. Have had it gone through by local repair shop and assured me this vehicle is super clean and has no rust although needs a paint job along with new shocks. Car is sold as is. This model with four speed trans is one of 500 produced this year and a rare find. If interested send email and more updated pictures will be sent.
Mounted longitudinally ahead of the rear axle, the 3498cc power plant delivers 316bhp at 6800rpm and 280lb ft at 4850rpm. The engine is mated to a SADEV six-speed sequential gearbox with a limited-slip differential, and the car can hit 62mph from a standstill in 4.5sec.
Weight is kept down to 950kg thanks to a tubular chassis clad in glassfibre body panels. Carbonfibre is used for the front splitter, roof, rear vent and wheel arches, while downforce-generating underfloor venting and a fixed aerofoil counteract the effect of lift at high speeds.

Hey, I'm a new member of this forum and just upgraded from an 03 GT to an 07 Shelby GT-500. It's an amazing car all around and I can't wait to take it to the track. Since it's the convertible version I'm going to have to put a roll cage in before I can hit any serious speed- has anyone had experience with custom roll cage design/installation?

I love the stripped-down look of the car- I'm going to get some charcoal or black wheels, put matte black stripes down the middle, and eventually tint out the lights. I'm hoping it'll look really awesome once I'm finished with the exterior...

As far as personal facts/interests, I just graduated from college with degrees in finance and technology management and am working at a marketing startup based in New Jersey. I spend lots of time mountain biking on the weekends and love the occasional campfire, the Yankees, and my dog!

Hi,

First post. This is the first Mustang I have ever owned. It is a 2011 V6 automatic, with the 3.31 gear ratio option, and the stock 18" wheels. I realize that the higher ratio results in lower MPG. However, I am getting no more than 20-20.5 MPG per tank (87 octane). I have had it for almost 2 years now, and this is the mileage I have seen since owning it. I travel 20 miles to work, 3/4 of which is highway miles. If I make a long trip (Orlando to Jacksonville e.g.), I will get about 23.5-24MPG. Granted, I don't drive like a granny, but the MPG seems very low. Is this normal for that configuration?

Thanks

First off, all you Prius haters out there, remember that this is my wife's and just for a moment, close your eyes and pretend it's a mustang (like mine) and focus on the fantastic paint on it :jester: hahahahahaha

Anyways, finally got a chance to do a full correction on Portia. Dealer had some scratches/swirls on it, but nothing too major. Was only sitting on lot for a couple of months, but amazing what dumb dealer detailers can do to a car.

My process was as follows:

1) Wash/dry - 2 bucket grit guard, with lambskin mitts, then

Chemical Guys (CG) Honeydew

Optimum No Rinse (ONR)

wheels cleaned with Optimum Power Clean/Daytona and boars brush

and dried with CG V7, and leaf blower
2) Clayed with Sonax clay (this stuff is just "ok"... a little bit harder than pinnacle clay. Left some minor marring.)
3) Using Flex 3401, corrected with white CCS pad using Menzerna Power Finish
4) then gray CCS pad using Menz Super Finish
5) then applied CG Blacklight
6) then applied 4Star Ultimate Paint Protection (UPP)
7) then applied Dodo Juice Supernatural.

Overall time invested, 10 hours.

Here are the results. MARCHARRIS, let me know your thoughts too sir. ;)

Enjoy.

Hello. I own a 2013 GT Premium with Brembo brake package.

My questions are:

1. Will the 2013 Shelby's (GT500) SVT PP wheels (and tires) 19x9.5 (265/40) front and 20x9.5 (285/35) rear fit the GT with no issues?

2. Do the TPMS fit those wheels?

3. Will I "need" to lower the car?

4. Are those wheels fully forged or rotary forged?

Lastly, does anyone know the complete specifications for the wheels I mentioned? I'm more particular about the weight.

Inputs highly appreciated and thanks in advance!

I have a SCT XCAL from BAMA on order, should arrive next week. I was thinking about upgrading to 3.73 rear gears, right now I have stock 2.73 - questions:

-the car has 8,000 miles on it, I bought it new in February. Because it is new, can I instal ONLY the FRPP ring & pinion or do I need to spend the extra money for the install kit?

Today I was quoted between 900 to 1100 dollars labor to swap the gears

Another shop quoted 400-500 in labor.

Anywhere around Austin that would do it any cheaper? And actually do it correctly....

Or is this just what it costs??

Time for me to sell my beautiful 2006 mustang GT, 5 speed. It has around 80 000 miles on it, silver.
Windows scoops, side scoop, real 18" shelby rims, front tires are new, rear ones are in very good shape.
It's lowered on eibach springs, X pipe, JBA exhaust, AEM brut force induction, has a really nice stereo system, touch screen flip out Alpine head unit which reads mp3, dvd's, movies etc, connection for Iphone etc, 2 amps in the trunk with 2 subwoofers.
The car runs really good, I am a muscle car lover and I always took care of this baby. Oil change every 3000 miles, I changed the battery few month ago, did a tune up (spark plugs etc) about 4 months ago, the gearbox fluid has been changed 3 months ago, etc
The car is in Las Vegas, NV.
The price is $12,900 OBO to sell it quick because I found the one to replace it and don't want to miss it.

Thanks for your time ;)

Was going to take it to a shop but I said what the heck, watched a couple of videos and it seemed simple enough that even if I messed up I could just order another lol.

U did like the videos said, 1 piece of tape in the middle and cut one side and apply, if course I measured everything out before.

All in all I think it came out good for my first try!!

Has anyone replaced the PCM/ECU in their car? If so, how does one get it programmed to a specific vin number?

Reason I ask is because I swapped a GT500 drivetrain (including electronics) into my 2005 GT. In my area, they recently implemented OBD port emissions testing instead of a tailpipe test, and obviously there's no way I'm going to pass with a vin number that reads differently when plugged into their systems.

How would one go about changing the VIN stored on the PCM/ECU?
