I think things just get lost in all the subforums. I recently posted about my last time at the strip in the GT Performance subform - couldn't find the drag race subforum hidden under Mustang Motorsports (http://forums.themustangsource.com/forumdisplay.php?f=660) > Drag Racing (http://forums.themustangsource.com/forumdisplay.php?f=687) .

Damn floridians with their sunshine
Here in Michigan the tracks are closed for the season too. So time to work on some adjustments for April when things start to open up around here!

Both of our local tracks are closed for the season. They open again in March or April. I had car issues and vacations this year that kept me away from the track all year, but I did get one race day and set a new personal best with my '07 GT: 12.14 @ 113+ in the 1/4 mile, and that was with a lazy 1.797 sixty foot time and automatic transmission.
Should have the water/methanol injection installed on the car by spring with the intention of running mid to high 11's. Just don't want to go 11.49 or quicker as I'm not gonna put a rollcage in my daily driver!

Had fuel issues sense May... as in I didn't have enough to run her out, safely. lol
Now that I've upgraded to the HO kit with GT500 pumps I'm all good.. though the weather has been killing me around here and the tracks are closing this weekend! I'm hoping to get upto Atco this weekend, but who knows if it'll be dry and warm enough.

This last season I took my 68 to the track and ran it through inspection to see what I have to do before I can race this season, I need a battery disconnect switch and a new windshield ( the one I have is too badly cracked ) I'm looking forward to taking it to the track for the first time to see what it will run :)
If you want to talk about drag racing there is another forum where the guys are all pretty much race junkies.

Thanks I don't have to many questions about it as I attend the drags regularly with a friend who's family basically lives at the track, he raced a '70 maverick with essentially the same setup as mine and his uncle has a wicked 65 coupe that runs a monster big block chevy (I know, it's wrong!) I don't know how big it is but it's above the 500cubic inch realm, and it runs 7's! It's alot of fun to watch that thing go. My biggest concern with racing my own car for the first time is the Christmas tree jitters!
Sure the folks at the s197 forum would accept my 1st gen? Lol
To answer the OP's question these guys do (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MdAcIQYJ6c).
